Es’hailSat, Qatar’s satellite operator, has enhanced its video distribution offerings at the 26° East orbital position by adding Algeria’s El Ikhbariya (Algeria 3 / A3) TV channel, along with five radio channels from the Public Establishment of Broadcasting in Algeria (TDA). Utilizing the Es’hail-2 satellite, this expansion boosts coverage across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, providing significant viewership potential for Algeria’s national public broadcaster.
TDA, Algeria’s state-owned entity responsible for television (EPTV) and radio (EPRS) programming, has partnered with Es’hailSat to ensure exclusive transmission of its public service content domestically and abroad. Established in 1986, TDA has played a central role in delivering trusted public broadcasting services across Algeria.
Es’hailSat brings over 15 years of experience delivering satellite, broadcast, teleport, and managed services across the MENA region. With two satellites positioned at 25.5/26° East and a Tier-4 certified teleport facility in Doha, Es’hailSat guarantees reliable and robust connectivity solutions.
Ali Ahmed Al-Kuwari, President and CEO of Es’hailSat, welcomed the addition of El Ikhbariya, highlighting the alignment between Es’hailSat’s expertise and EPTV’s mission to provide comprehensive, dependable information to the Algerian public.
This new addition enriches the Es’hail-2 satellite’s channel bouquet, further enhancing its lineup of premium content available to the MENA audience.
