Vantage Payment Systems (VPS), a Moroccan payment institution licensed by Bank Al-Maghrib, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Mastercard to accelerate digital payment innovation and promote financial inclusion in Morocco.
This partnership aims to introduce advanced payment technologies that enhance the acceptance of Mastercard-branded cards across all merchant touchpoints, including e-commerce, mobile commerce, in-app payments, in-store transactions, and recurring billing. The collaboration also focuses on deploying secure solutions such as tokenization and digital wallet support to provide a seamless and secure customer experience aligned with global standards.
Ali Bettahi, President of VPS, emphasized the significance of the partnership in driving Morocco’s digital payment transformation. Mustapha Badr-Ezzaman, CEO of VPS, highlighted its alignment with the national financial inclusion strategy led by Bank Al-Maghrib. Mark Elliott, Division President of Mastercard Africa, noted that the alliance supports Morocco’s shift toward digital commerce by equipping businesses of all sizes with secure, future-ready payment solutions that foster growth and inclusion.
With over 93,000 new businesses established in Morocco in 2023, this collaboration opens new opportunities for merchants, enhancing transaction management, customer experience, and competitiveness in the digital economy.
