Global payments network MoneyGram has announced a partnership with tiqmo, a fast-growing smart payment company and financial app based in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration allows tiqmo users across Saudi Arabia to send international money transfers to over 200 countries and territories through MoneyGram’s extensive global network.
The integration gives tiqmo customers access to more than five billion digital endpoints and over 480,000 MoneyGram locations worldwide. It supports sending and receiving funds in over 120 currencies. Beyond international transfers, tiqmo offers a variety of financial services, including bank account transfers, digital wallet transfers, cash pick-up, bill payments, and mobile top-ups.
Since its launch in 2024, tiqmo has established itself as a leading digital wallet licensed by the Saudi Central Bank, expanding rapidly across Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The company selected MoneyGram as its cross-border payments partner due to its vast global reach, trusted infrastructure, and strong presence in Saudi Arabia—one of the largest remittance markets globally.
Abdulaziz Al Ajlan, Managing Director at tiqmo, remarked, “We believe that our partnership with MoneyGram will strengthen tiqmo’s portfolio of international financial services and connect our customers with a payment brand known around the world.”
According to the World Bank, Saudi Arabia was the world’s second-largest remittance sender in 2022, with over US$39 billion sent abroad. This service is expected to benefit customers sending money to key recipient countries, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Egypt, Indonesia, and Nepal.
The new international money transfer service is now live and available to all tiqmo users in Saudi Arabia.
