Oracle Opens Advanced R&D Center in Casablanca to Boost AI and Cloud Innovation

American technology giant Oracle has inaugurated a cutting-edge Research and Development (R&D) center in Casablanca, Morocco, specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, and graph processing. The ceremony was led by Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and attended by Minister of Digital Transition Ghita Mezzour and Oracle’s Vice President Craig Stephen.

The seven-story facility currently employs 300 Moroccan engineers, developers, and technicians, with plans to expand to 1,000 skilled professionals by 2027. The center aims to develop impactful AI capabilities and innovative IT solutions to help Oracle’s global clients enhance their business performance.

This state-of-the-art hub will enable Moroccan talent to design and build advanced technologies in AI, big data, cloud, and cybersecurity, with solutions deployed worldwide. Oracle’s investment is expected to strengthen Morocco’s position as a leading digital hub in the region.
