Elm, a Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF)-owned digital solutions leader, has officially opened its first office in Muscat, marking a strategic step toward participating in Oman’s digital transformation and expanding its regional presence. The inauguration ceremony was held under the auspices of Eng Said bin Hamoud al Maawali, Oman’s Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, with attendance from Saudi Ambassador Ibrahim bin Saad Bishan and other officials.
Positioning itself in alignment with Oman Vision 2040—which prioritizes digital economy growth and government modernization—Elm aims to deliver customized e-government, cybersecurity, digital identity, and AI-driven services tailored to sectors like logistics, public services, and national security. The move complements Elm’s broader strategy to export its homegrown Saudi capabilities, including notable platforms like Absher and Tawakklna.
Majid bin Saad al Arifi, Elm’s Executive Vice President of Marketing, emphasized confidence in Oman’s digital ecosystem and highlighted the company’s commitment to fostering partnerships that drive sustainable digital economies. The Muscat office will function as a regional hub, coordinating projects, engaging stakeholders, and localizing solutions to meet Oman’s unique needs, thereby strengthening economic and technological ties between Oman and Saudi Arabia.
Elm’s expansion also promises to create skilled jobs and facilitate knowledge transfer by collaborating closely with local partners and government entities.
