Maroc Telecom and Inwi have officially established two joint ventures, Uni Fiber and Uni Tower, aimed at fast-tracking the rollout of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and 5G networks across Morocco. This follows an agreement between IAM and WANA announced in March 2025 and was authorized by the National Agency of Telecommunications Regulation (ANRT) in June 2025.
Uni Fiber will focus on deploying the passive infrastructure needed for FTTH services, targeting 1 million connections within two years and 3 million within five years. Uni Tower will build new telecom towers and renovate existing ones, with goals of 2,000 towers within three years and 6,000 towers over 20 years. The initial investment for the first three years is set at 4.4 billion Moroccan Dirhams (MAD).
Both ventures will provide open, transparent, and non-discriminatory access to their infrastructure for all authorized operators, fully complying with current regulations. Maroc Telecom and Inwi expressed gratitude to the authorities and stakeholders for their support and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Morocco’s technological and economic development.
