Khalil Hajj Tawfiq, head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Commerce, announced plans to hold a Jordanian-Syrian technical forum in Damascus soon, highlighting the importance of Syria’s stability for Jordan. Speaking to Jordan’s al-Mamlaka TV, he predicted the forum would take place this month, noting that the reconstruction phase in Syria has begun following the lifting of sanctions.
Hajj Tawfiq emphasized Jordan’s strong capabilities in the information technology sector and its potential role in assisting Syria with IT and other reconstruction efforts. He also called on Arab countries to support Syria, particularly in construction, technology, and education.
In addition to the technical forum, preparations are underway for a Jordanian-Syrian economic forum in Damascus, aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
