Pakistan Launches Unified Digital Platform for Government Services

The Workers Welfare Fund, Ministry of Information Technology, and National Information Technology Board (NITB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deliver all government services to citizens through a unified digital platform. The signing took place at the Workers Welfare Fund office in Islamabad.

Secretary Zulfiqar Ahmed and Project Director Faisal Mumtaz signed the MoU on behalf of their organizations. The platform will integrate services from all government departments into a citizen-centric portal accessible nationwide. Services like applying for domicile certificates will be available online, eliminating provincial boundaries and departmental silos through biometric, facial recognition, and mobile verification technologies.

This initiative, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja, is scheduled for launch on August 14, 2025. Secretary Zulfiqar Ahmed highlighted that the platform will benefit workers and their families, supporting scholarships and marriage grants. Efforts are also underway to develop and export skilled manpower under the guidance of Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Federal Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry.
