Dubai: The Saudi Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Tuwaiq Academy, announced the opening of five new specialized technology high schools in Riyadh, Medina, the Eastern Province, Qassim, and Jeddah, starting in the 1447 academic year.
These schools are dedicated to first-year secondary students demonstrating exceptional talent in technical fields, aiming to nurture the next generation of innovators and technologists.
This expansion builds on a pioneering model introduced in December 2024, when Saudi Arabia launched its first government-run technology high school for gifted students in Riyadh, in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy. The pilot school has since become a blueprint for integrating advanced technical education into the national curriculum.
Each new school will combine the national academic syllabus with specialized technical training in high-demand sectors such as computer science, artificial intelligence, mechatronics, and cybersecurity.
The curriculum is designed to foster a dynamic, future-ready learning environment that emphasizes intensive tech training, critical thinking, and leadership development.
Students will also participate in scientific competitions, summer boot camps, and extracurricular activities aimed at enhancing curiosity, innovation, and teamwork, cultivating well-rounded digital citizens equipped for success in a fast-changing global economy.
