Saudi Public Security Launches New Digital Services on Absher Platform

RIYADH — Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security, inaugurated new digital services through the Ministry of Interior’s Absher platform during the “Digital Transformation Forum: Technology and the Future” held at Public Security headquarters in Riyadh. The event was held under the patronage of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Minister of Interior.

The updates to the “Absher Individuals” platform include the ability to transfer vehicle ownership to businesses and enhanced features for air rifle permits, such as ownership transfer and license renewal. On the “Absher Business” portal, new services include an “Accident Report” feature and several offerings related to rock-cutting activities, including cancellation of usage, discharge, and transport permits, as well as adding new materials to existing permits.

These additions align with the Ministry of Interior’s broader digital transformation efforts aimed at improving quality of life and streamlining procedures for citizens, residents, and visitors. The new automated services are designed to reduce the need for in-person visits and save time across the security sector.
