Egypt’s Suplyd Raises $2 Million Pre-Series A to Expand Restaurant Procurement Platform

Cairo-based digital procurement platform Suplyd has secured $2 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by 4DX Ventures, Camel Ventures, and Plus VC, with participation from Seedstars and existing investors. Founded in 2022, Suplyd digitizes supply chain processes for Egypt’s HORECA sector, connecting over 5,000 restaurants with more than 200 suppliers and offering 1,000+ products across multiple categories.

Since its $1.6 million pre-seed round in 2022, Suplyd has grown 20x in customer base and transaction volume, boasting a 100% order fulfillment rate and real-time analytics to reduce waste, cut costs, and improve supply chain predictability. The new funding will support expansion beyond procurement, developing new service verticals and deepening market penetration.

Founder and CEO Gohar Said emphasized Suplyd’s role as a catalyst in Egypt’s restaurant digital transformation. Investors highlighted the platform’s strong traction, market insight, and potential to become a category leader in the region.
