Iraq’s Boxy Raises $1.5 Million to Launch AI-Powered Unified Courier Aggregator Platform

Iraqi logistics startup Boxy has emerged from stealth with $1.5 million in pre-seed funding, led by Iraq-focused venture builder EQIQ, a founding partner of the venture. Founded in late 2024, Boxy aims to tackle the fragmentation in Iraq’s last-mile delivery sector, where most courier companies operate independently without shared infrastructure or standards.

Boxy’s AI-powered platform offers businesses a unified API to access, compare, and integrate multiple local courier services. Features include order tracking, performance analytics, and automated courier selection based on cost and delivery speed, simplifying logistics management.

To date, Boxy has onboarded 15 courier partners and facilitated over 300,000 deliveries. The startup plans to expand into the Kurdistan region and explore further regional markets. Its team brings logistics, technology, and product expertise from Iraq, Jordan, and the UAE.

With the new capital, Boxy intends to scale operations, enhance AI routing algorithms, and develop advanced analytics tools to help merchants optimize delivery performance.

Boxy’s launch marks a significant addition to Iraq’s emerging tech ecosystem, addressing the evolving demands of digital infrastructure and e-commerce solutions in the region.
