Saudi Hajj Ministry Enables Offline Access to Nusuk App for Pilgrims

Pilgrims in Saudi Arabia can now use the Nusuk app’s full range of services without needing mobile data, following a new initiative by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Developed in collaboration with telecom providers STC, Mobily, and Zain, this upgrade aims to enhance the digital experience during Hajj and Umrah.

According to Ministry spokesperson Ghassan Al-Nuwaimi, users with local SIM cards can access critical services offline, including permit issuance, Haramain High-Speed Train bookings, map navigation, AI-powered assistance, and report or inquiry submissions.

Nusuk platform CEO Ahmed Al-Maiman highlighted that the offline functionality will aid crowd control, speed up permit verification at entry points, and reduce incidents involving lost pilgrims.
