Lenovo Appoints New Saudi Leadership and Confirms Riyadh Regional Headquarters at Al Majdoul Tower

Dubai, UAE – Lenovo has announced the appointment of its executive leadership team for Saudi Arabia and confirmed plans to establish its Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh, located in the iconic Al Majdoul Tower, one of the Kingdom’s most prominent innovation hubs. The move reflects Lenovo’s long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, advancing the Kingdom’s goals of digital transformation and economic diversification.

This announcement follows Lenovo’s strategic collaboration with ALAT, a Public Investment Fund (PIF)-owned company. Together, they broke ground in February 2025 on a 200,000 sqm advanced manufacturing facility at Riyadh Integrated (Special Integrated Logistics Zone), expected to begin producing millions of “Saudi Made” devices by 2026.

New Leadership Team for Saudi Arabia

  • Lawrence Yu – appointed Head of Regional Headquarters. A Lenovo veteran of 15 years, Yu previously led Lenovo Retail Solutions to record growth and played a pivotal role in the ALAT partnership and Riyadh manufacturing site planning. He will oversee RHQ operations, ALAT partnerships, and regional expansion.
  • Giovanni Di Filippo – named Vice President & General Manager for Lenovo Saudi Arabia. Formerly President of EMEA ISG, he grew market share from 6% to 14%. He now leads all Saudi business units (IDG, ISG, SSG), spearheading hypergrowth and cross-portfolio synergies.
  • Zoran Radumilo – appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Lenovo Saudi Arabia. With over 25 years in global enterprise technology, including leadership roles in AI, cloud, and software solutions, he will drive go-to-market strategies across government, telecom, energy, smart cities, and financial services.

Strengthening Saudi Innovation and Manufacturing

The RHQ at Al Majdoul Tower places Lenovo alongside major PIF entities, government bodies, and technology leaders at the heart of Saudi Arabia’s industrial transformation. The facility will include a flagship retail space, VIP customer centre, R&D hubs, marketing operations, and expanded strategic partnerships.

Matt Dobrodziej, Senior VP & President, Lenovo EMEA, said:
“The confirmation of Al Majdoul Tower as the RHQ and the appointment of our Saudi leadership team mark a major milestone in Lenovo’s regional strategy. With our ALAT partnership and manufacturing investment, we are proud to contribute to Vision 2030 by supporting industrial diversification, accelerating digital transformation, and enabling sustainable growth. Our initiatives in Saudi Arabia are projected to contribute up to USD 10 billion to non-oil GDP by 2030.”
