stc Bahrain Launches Second Edition of jeel ICT Program to Empower National Talent

Manama, Bahrain — stc Bahrain, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), has launched the second edition of its flagship jeel ICT program, aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world experience. The initiative focuses on equipping young Bahrainis with the technical and business skills needed to thrive in the Kingdom’s expanding ICT and FinTech sectors.

A fully nationalized program under stc Bahrain’s CSR arm stc Jusoor, jeel ICT aligns with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, making it a strategic investment in the country’s human capital. Participants gain hands-on exposure to digital technologies, business management, leadership, and entrepreneurship, preparing them for impactful careers in the digital economy.

Building on Success

The first edition of jeel ICT proved successful, with 15 graduates securing full-time roles at stc Bahrain. This year’s program is expected to culminate in additional full-time employment opportunities for outstanding participants, reinforcing stc’s commitment to nurturing local talent and developing a future generation of digital leaders.

National and Institutional Support

His Excellency Youssef bin Al-Hussein Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, emphasized the importance of initiatives like jeel ICT in aligning education and training with labor market needs. He praised stc Bahrain’s role in qualifying and employing national graduates in high-demand digital sectors.

Program Details

The jeel ICT program is open to Bahraini nationals aged 20–23, graduating in the 2024–2025 academic year with backgrounds in Engineering, IT, or Computer Science. Applicants can apply via stc Bahrain Careers.
