Bahrain Celebrates Graduation of Second Batch from Technical Workforce Development Program

Lieutenant General His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for ICT, attended the graduation ceremony of the second batch of the Technical Workforce Development Program this morning. The event was also graced by the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Interior, the Director General of Public Security, and senior representatives from both government and private sectors.

Organized by the Information & eGovernment Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, the program is a flagship national initiative designed to prepare and qualify Bahraini talent in the field of information and communication technology. It aligns with Bahrain’s economic recovery plans and broader digital transformation agenda.

In his remarks, Shaikh Rashid commended the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, in driving ICT growth and enabling Bahrain to achieve an advanced global standing. He stressed that the program exemplifies technological progress that should inspire all government institutions to boost efficiency and improve quality of life.

He further encouraged Bahrainis to embrace ICT skills as a gateway to the future, noting that investment in national talent strengthens the Kingdom’s resilience amid global changes. He expressed gratitude to the program’s organizers, including the CEO of the Information & eGovernment Authority, and congratulated the graduates for their role in one of Bahrain’s most important national initiatives.
