KATHMANDU – Nepal Telecom has launched a special three-day offer of free data and on-net voice calls to help citizens stay connected amid the ongoing crisis. The initiative, which went live Tuesday night, is aimed at easing communication between families and relatives both within Nepal and abroad.
Company spokesperson Rabindra Manandhar said the service is designed to support people in difficult times by ensuring uninterrupted communication. Customers can activate free data by dialing 141583# and free voice calls by dialing 141587#. Activation details have also been shared with subscribers via SMS.
The free internet package offers speeds of 1 Mbps, while the complimentary voice calls are limited to Nepal Telecom’s network. “This initiative has been taken considering the difficult circumstances, so that people remain connected with their loved ones,” Manandhar said.
