The UAE has unveiled a pioneering YouTube Academy in partnership with Creators HQ, marking the first initiative of its kind in the region. The academy aims to empower emerging content creators with the skills, resources, and expertise needed to grow across YouTube’s diverse formats, from mobile screens to connected TVs.
Javid Aslanov, Head of YouTube MENA, highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating that creators across the Middle East and North Africa are “the future of entertainment and the heart of the creator economy.” He emphasized that the partnership with Creators HQ expands YouTube’s support system, helping creators transform their passion into sustainable, long-term careers.
Creators HQ has already drawn 2,415 participants from 147 countries since its launch in January and aims to attract 10,000 influencers to the UAE. This effort is part of a broader plan to build a comprehensive content economy within the Emirates, positioning the country as a regional hub for digital creativity and innovation.
The academy is expected to strengthen the UAE’s role as a magnet for global creators while shaping the next generation of entertainment leaders.
