Jordanian Armed Forces Partner with Orange Money to Digitize Royal Scholarship Disbursements

The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army has signed a cooperation agreement with Petra Mobile Payment Services (Orange Money), a subsidiary of Orange Jordan, to facilitate the electronic disbursement of financial entitlements for Royal Scholarship beneficiaries. The agreement was signed on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, by Brig. Gen Hamzeh AlKasassbeh, Director of the Financial Department of the Armed Forces, and Eng. Philippe Mansour, CEO of Orange Jordan and Chairman of Orange Money.

Through this partnership, students will now receive their scholarship payments securely and directly into their Orange Money wallets, streamlining the process and eliminating the need for manual procedures. The initiative aims to improve efficiency, save time and effort for students, and further promote financial inclusion in Jordan.

Brig. Gen AlKasassbeh highlighted that the agreement represents a milestone in the Armed Forces’ modernization drive, ensuring better support for Royal Scholarship students through innovative financial services. Eng. Mansour emphasized Orange Jordan’s pride in this collaboration, calling it a “living example of leveraging technology for youth empowerment.” He noted that the initiative goes beyond financial transfers by enabling students to better manage their finances and access modern digital services, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable society.

The agreement underscores the value of public-private partnerships in advancing Jordan’s digital transformation and supporting the next generation with practical, technology-driven solutions.
