Bahrain Launches First Digital Bus Station in Partnership with stc

Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with stc Bahrain to launch the Kingdom’s first digital bus station, a milestone in the country’s smart mobility journey.

The new stc Digital Bus Station is designed to serve as a model for future smart transport hubs across Bahrain. It will enable data-driven planning of public transport networks, improve service reliability, and enhance the commuter experience.

Sh. Zeyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa, Chief Government Affairs Officer at stc Bahrain, emphasized that the initiative represents more than a technological upgrade, calling it “a strategic investment in the Kingdom’s transport infrastructure and economic future.” He noted that stc Bahrain’s role as a digital enabler aligns with the government’s digital transformation agenda, helping deliver connected and sustainable mobility solutions that strengthen infrastructure and national competitiveness.

The launch also supports Bahrain’s commitment to building sustainable cities and communities, in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11.
