Jordan to Host Second Invest in Digital Economy Forum, Strengthening Role as Regional Innovation Hub

The Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) will jointly host the second edition of the Invest in Digital Economy Forum on Monday in Amman. This year’s event, held under the theme “Digital Transformation for a Global Sustainable Economy,” aims to accelerate investment, entrepreneurship, and international partnerships in the digital sector.

The forum will bring together ministers, Arab and Islamic chambers of commerce, international organizations, investors, and entrepreneurs from across the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states. Discussions will focus on building advanced digital infrastructure, supporting emerging technologies, and fostering innovation-driven growth across the Islamic world.

JCC President Khalil Haj Tawfiq emphasized that Jordan’s hosting of the forum for a second year reflects its strong IT capabilities, skilled workforce, and attractive investment climate. He recalled that during the inaugural edition last year, Amman was officially named the Capital of the Digital Economy in the Islamic World — a milestone attributed to the continued support of His Majesty King Abdullah.

This year’s program will include high-level ministerial dialogues on digital transformation, a showcase titled “Jordan: Gateway to the Digital Economy in the Region,” and sessions on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, financial inclusion, venture capital, outsourcing, and digital education. The forum will also spotlight Jordan’s investment opportunities under the Economic Modernisation Vision (EMV), with expectations of new partnerships and projects to be announced.

The ICCD, an OIC-affiliated body representing the private sector across all 57 member states, is supporting the initiative to enhance collaboration in the digital economy. With participation from leading chamber executives and global business leaders, the event aims to solidify Jordan’s standing as a regional hub for digital transformation, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
