Doha – Estithmar Holding and Al Bidda Industries & Services have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Siemens to develop integrated, smart, and sustainable solutions across key sectors including healthcare, energy, services, hospitality, and contracting.
The agreement, signed at Estithmar Holding’s headquarters, sets a framework for innovation-driven public-private partnerships (PPPs) in support of sustainable development and economic diversification goals, while also enabling international expansion. The MoU was formalized by Juan Leon, Holding CEO of Estithmar Holding, and Hakan Ozdemir, CEO of Siemens in Qatar and CEO of Smart Infrastructure for the Middle East, in the presence of Sheikh Suhaim bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Chairman of Al Bidda Group, and Abdulla Darwish Al Darwish, Board Member of Estithmar Holding.
Juan Leon described the MoU as a milestone in Estithmar’s commitment to sustainability and growth, saying it will create transformative opportunities that strengthen the economic ecosystem and support long-term global expansion. Hakan Ozdemir emphasized the collaborative spirit of the initiative, noting that Siemens views the partnership as a launchpad to share success stories from Qatar with the broader region.
The collaboration builds on the strengths of each partner:
- Estithmar Holding’s subsidiary, Elegancia Specialized Contracting & Industries, which delivers complex projects across the MENA region, including five-star hotels on Shura Island and the Sindalah Yacht Club in Saudi Arabia.
- Al Bidda Industries & Services, which provides advanced electrical products and solutions for utilities, oil and gas, infrastructure, and healthcare, with a track record of projects including Q-Rail, Hamad International Airport, and Hamad Medical Corporation.
- Siemens, a global technology leader in industry, infrastructure, mobility, and healthcare, bringing deep expertise in digital transformation, sustainability, and industrial AI.
Together, the three companies aim to develop innovative projects that align with Qatar’s vision of sustainable urban development, strengthen regional infrastructure, and advance digital transformation across multiple industries.
