Orange Egypt Unveils Pharaonic Obelisk Tower Ahead of Grand Egyptian Museum Opening

Cairo — Orange Egypt has announced the creation of Egypt’s first telecommunications tower inspired by a Pharaonic obelisk, blending cutting-edge technology with the nation’s ancient heritage. The landmark project coincides with preparations for the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on November 1st, 2025.

The obelisk-shaped tower symbolizes the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization while serving a modern purpose — delivering enhanced mobile network coverage and advanced communication services in and around the museum area.

The initiative aligns with national efforts to position the Grand Egyptian Museum as a world-class smart destination, integrating culture, history, and digital innovation to enhance visitor experiences.

“This initiative reflects Orange Egypt’s deep commitment to Egypt’s cultural and tourism sectors,” the company stated. “By merging modern telecommunications infrastructure with timeless Egyptian symbolism, we aim to celebrate national pride while advancing the country’s digital transformation.”

The Pharaonic-inspired tower will not only strengthen network connectivity but also serve as a visual icon of Egypt’s fusion of tradition and technology, supporting the Grand Egyptian Museum’s mission to become a global hub for history, culture, and innovation.
