Oman Data Park and Asyad Group Partner to Build Next-Generation Digital Control Tower

Oman Data Park (ODP), the Sultanate’s leading provider of managed services, cloud computing, and cybersecurity solutions, has signed a memorandum of collaboration (MoC) with Asyad Group, Oman’s global logistics provider, to develop a next-generation Control Tower—a digital logistics platform aimed at delivering real-time visibility and centralized oversight of Asyad’s supply chain operations.

The initiative is a joint effort with key stakeholders including Hydrom and the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, ensuring that the project aligns with Oman’s national priorities and supports emerging sectors such as renewable energy and green hydrogen.

Eng. Maqbool Al Wahaibi, CEO of Oman Data Park, said, “This collaboration represents a strategic step toward building a digital ecosystem that enhances Oman’s logistics competitiveness. By integrating Asyad’s logistics expertise with our secure, scalable, and AI-driven technologies, we aim to strengthen national digital capabilities while opening doors for commercialization and global market expansion.”

Essam Al Sheibany, Vice President of Sustainability at Asyad Group, emphasized the sustainability focus of the project, noting, “The Control Tower reflects Asyad’s commitment to advancing Oman’s logistics landscape in line with our sustainability objectives. This platform will enable smarter, more connected logistics solutions to support renewable and low-carbon projects.”

Through this partnership, ODP will contribute its technical expertise to design and implement the Control Tower’s system architecture, processes, and digital enablers. The platform will consolidate data from multiple business units, transport modes, and partners into a single interface. Powered by AI, IoT, and predictive analytics, it will enable data-driven decision-making, proactive disruption management, and seamless logistics coordination—especially critical for Asyad’s Green Hydrogen Logistics Project.

Beyond its operational value, the initiative is expected to foster new business models, promote in-country value through local talent development, and enhance knowledge transfer across Oman’s digital and logistics sectors.

By integrating cutting-edge digital technologies with national sustainability goals, the Asyad–ODP collaboration marks a defining step toward positioning Oman as a regional leader in smart logistics and digital infrastructure.

Building on ODP’s technological capabilities and Asyad’s global logistics leadership, the Control Tower will serve as a foundational platform driving the future of connected, efficient, and sustainable logistics across the Sultanate.

ODP and Asyad’s partnership thus not only reinforces Oman’s logistics excellence but also strengthens its digital sovereignty and readiness for the green economy era.
