Amman — The Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC) has reported that transactions processed through the eFAWATEERcom system reached a total value of JD11.57 billion (≈$16.3 billion) since the start of 2025, encompassing 55.19 million transactions.
According to JoPACC’s September report, the platform continues to see steady growth in adoption, with the number of users climbing to 4.9 million, up from 4.85 million in August and 4.81 million in July. The system now supports 652 billers offering over 2,200 services.
Although the number of transactions fell slightly to 6.45 million in September (a 2.8% decrease from August), the total value of monthly transactions increased 9.4% to JD1.4 billion, up from JD1.28 billion the previous month.
Government services led payments by value at JD758 million, followed by e-wallets and payment providers (JD309 million), education (JD96 million), and utilities (JD91 million). The average transaction value rose to JD217 in September, compared with JD192 in August.
Digital payments continued to dominate, accounting for 81.3% of total transactions (5.24 million), while cash payments represented 18.7%.
Meanwhile, CliQ payments — Jordan’s instant payment system — saw a sharp 73.2% increase in value year-on-year, reaching JD14.5 billion between January and September 2025. The number of transactions more than doubled to 117.4 million, with 15.56 million transactions in September alone.
Money transfers made up the majority (71.4%) of CliQ transactions, totaling JD1.33 billion through 12.3 million transfers, while the average transaction value stood at JD120.
