Dubai — du, the UAE’s leading telecom and digital services provider, unveiled a suite of groundbreaking AI, IoT, and 5G-powered solutions at GITEX Global 2025, reinforcing its leadership in advancing the nation’s digital transformation agenda across public safety, maritime connectivity, and sovereign cloud infrastructure.
A major highlight was the expanded partnership with Hassantuk, Core42’s flagship public safety platform. The upgraded system now integrates AI-driven facility monitoring, food safety compliance, and predictive emergency response features. These enhancements enable real-time structural and environmental assessments, risk forecasting, and mobile alerting capabilities — positioning the UAE as a global pioneer in smart city safety infrastructure.
“This collaboration marks a pivotal step forward in creating a safer, smarter society,” said Jasim Al Awadi, Chief ICT Officer at du.
In another key announcement, du revealed a maritime connectivity partnership with ELCOME, a Starlink-authorized reseller, to provide high-speed communications for fleets, yachts, and offshore operations. Combining du’s 5G+ technology with Starlink’s satellite network, the service ensures seamless handover between terrestrial and satellite links — delivering uninterrupted broadband, voice, and SMS coverage even in remote maritime zones.
“This is a world-first milestone bringing connectivity to previously unreachable regions,” said Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du.
du also signed an MoU with Dubai Taxi Company to migrate its core systems onto du’s National Hypercloud, a sovereign, AI-ready platform designed for data protection, scalability, and operational excellence. The transition ensures full data sovereignty while setting a national benchmark for secure cloud modernization among government-linked enterprises.
Together, these initiatives highlight du’s strategic focus on AI, IoT, 5G, and cloud technologies to accelerate innovation across public and private sectors — solidifying its role as a cornerstone of the UAE’s digital economy and a driving force behind the country’s smart transformation vision.
