e& UAE and AMD Join Forces to Build Next-Generation AI Infrastructure for a Sustainable Digital Future

Dubai — At GITEX Global 2025, e& UAE, the flagship telecom arm of global technology group e&, announced a strategic collaboration agreement with AMD to accelerate AI deployment and digital transformation across the UAE — with a strong focus on sustainability, security, and skills development.

The partnership builds on e& UAE’s existing use of AMD EPYC™ processors and will explore the adoption of AMD Instinct™ GPUs and the ROCm™ software suite to design secure, scalable AI infrastructure. The companies will also evaluate adaptive edge AI solutions for telecom and enterprise applications, along with AMD Ryzen™ AI processors to enhance end-user AI experiences.

“e& UAE is committed to AI that is open, secure, and aligned to the UAE’s digital transformation,” said Marwan Bin Shakar, Acting CTIO of e& UAE. “With AMD, we are designing a secure and efficient AI infrastructure that reduces cost, increases energy efficiency, and accelerates the journey from pilot to production.”

Aligned with the UAE’s sustainability agenda, the collaboration will also explore how AMD technologies can help reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and enhance energy efficiency across e& UAE’s digital ecosystem. The agreement includes joint initiatives such as AI labs, training programs, and partner collaborations to build local talent and strengthen the nation’s AI innovation landscape.

Philip Guido, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at AMD, emphasized that the collaboration “represents a strategic alignment to accelerate AI innovation across the UAE and beyond,” highlighting AMD’s commitment to delivering open, end-to-end AI solutions optimized for performance and efficiency.
