The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) and WorkSmart Event Management Company have successfully concluded the third edition of the “Tech Innovators” initiative at GITEX Global 2025, celebrating the creativity and potential of Bahraini youth in the global technology arena.
The program enabled students from Bahrain’s leading universities to present their innovative tech projects within the International Business Hub, sponsored by GFH Financial Group, CrediMax, BMMI, and Khaleeji Bank. Throughout the event, participants impressed international investors, industry leaders, and experts with forward-thinking concepts and strong technical execution.
In addition to exhibiting their projects, students engaged in mentorship and professional training sessions conducted by seasoned experts, gaining insights that will shape their future careers. Several participants also signed incubation and mentoring agreements to advance their business ideas toward commercialization — a move expected to strengthen Bahrain’s startup ecosystem and contribute to the Kingdom’s digital economy.
Rashed Abdulla Alsnan, Chairman of BTECH, praised the initiative’s success: “We are proud to witness the creativity, ambition, and capability of Bahraini youth at one of the world’s most prestigious platforms. Their innovative projects reflect the caliber of talent nurtured through our universities and the Kingdom’s commitment to investing in human capital.”
WorkSmart CEO Ahmed Al Hujairy emphasized that “Tech Innovators” demonstrates Bahrain’s determination to amplify youth representation in international technology forums, building global investor confidence in local talent and driving more tech investments into the country.
Participants like Ahmed Awadhi and Rabab Hassan expressed their appreciation for the opportunity, calling the experience transformative. “It allowed me to connect with global experts, refine my communication and teamwork skills, and gain valuable exposure to cutting-edge technologies,” said Hassan. “It inspired me to develop my project into a globally competitive tech product that serves the community.”
