Cairo — October 21, 2025: The Digital Egypt Creativity Centers (Creativa), in collaboration with the MINT platform of the Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGBank), has launched the CREATIVA x MINT Tech Hackathon, a nationwide initiative aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation across Egypt.
Organized under the patronage of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the Egyptian Gulf Bank, with technical support from Startup Factory, the three-day hackathon will take place across four key cities — Alexandria, Ismailia, Tanta, and Mansoura. The event provides an inclusive platform for young innovators, developers, and startups to design and build technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.
Participants will gain hands-on experience, mentorship from industry experts, and opportunities to network with investors and ecosystem partners supporting Egypt’s growing startup landscape. The hackathon forms part of the government’s Digital Egypt strategy, which aims to empower youth and strengthen the country’s digital economy through innovation-led development.
At the conclusion of the competition, cash prizes totaling EGP 180,000 will be distributed among the winning teams:
- First place: EGP 20,000 per city
- Second place: EGP 15,000 per city
- Third place: EGP 10,000 per city
Additionally, all participants — whether part of startups or presenting individual ideas — will receive a free bank account from EGBank, reinforcing the initiative’s commitment to financial inclusion and startup support.
Registration is open until November 5, 2025, with details available through the official event portal.
The CREATIVA x MINT Tech Hackathon represents another milestone in Egypt’s efforts to position itself as a regional hub for digital innovation and entrepreneurship, bridging education, finance, and technology to empower the next generation of tech leaders.
