HP Expands in Saudi Arabia with New Manufacturing Facility and AI R&D Center to Support Vision 2030

Riyadh — October 22, 2025:
Global technology leader HP has announced a major expansion in Saudi Arabia with the launch of its first local manufacturing facility in Riyadh and an AI Research & Development Center of Excellence in Dhahran, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Vision 2030’s digital and industrial transformation agenda.

The Riyadh manufacturing facility marks a significant milestone in HP’s regional strategy — enabling faster, region-specific product delivery, enhancing supply chain resilience, and positioning Saudi Arabia as a central hub within HP’s global operations.

“Our first local manufacturing site in Saudi Arabia positions HP closer to customers in one of the world’s most dynamic and fast-growing technology markets,” said Fadle Saad, Managing Director, HP MENA.
“Producing locally improves delivery speed, customization, and reliability while building industrial capabilities that support economic diversification.”

The move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s national objectives to localize production, create high-value jobs, and strengthen industrial competitiveness. Saad noted that the facility not only enhances logistical agility but also establishes a regional hub connecting the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, reflecting HP’s long-term confidence in the Kingdom’s infrastructure and workforce.

Dhahran AI R&D Center: Innovation with Local Relevance

Complementing the manufacturing base, HP has opened an AI Center of Excellence in Dhahran to accelerate applied innovation across key sectors including healthcare, logistics, energy, and smart cities. Current projects focus on Arabic language models, automation tools, and decision-support systems designed to address regional needs.

“The center’s mission is to turn research into practical solutions that strengthen Saudi Arabia’s key sectors,” Saad explained.
“We are fostering collaboration between universities, startups, and government institutions to build homegrown innovation with global relevance.”

The AI center also plays a critical role in talent development, offering training and education programs to cultivate the next generation of Saudi tech professionals. Through partnerships with local institutions, HP aims to merge global expertise with local insight — ensuring that innovation originates within the Kingdom rather than being imported.

Supporting Vision 2030 Goals

Both initiatives directly align with Vision 2030’s focus on digital transformation, economic diversification, and youth empowerment. HP’s localization efforts are designed to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional technology hub, foster entrepreneurship, and promote sustainable innovation.

“This is about more than technology — it’s about shared purpose,” Saad concluded.
“Vision 2030 represents the meeting point between global expertise and local ambition. HP’s expansion ensures that innovation and value creation happen where they are needed most — right here in Saudi Arabia.”
