Iraq’s Ministry of Education Grants Nationwide E-Learning License to Abwaab

Baghdad — October 21, 2025: The Iraqi Ministry of Education, in partnership with the Directorate of Educational Television, has officially granted Abwaab a national license to operate as a recognized digital education provider across Iraq — marking a major milestone in the country’s digital education transformation.

The new authorization establishes a clear regulatory framework for Abwaab to expand access to accredited digital learning nationwide, strengthening the government’s commitment to modernizing Iraq’s education sector and ensuring quality, equitable access to learning opportunities in both urban and rural areas.

Under this license, Abwaab will work closely with schools, universities, and training institutions to integrate blended learning models, deliver curriculum-aligned content, and invest in teacher training and AI-powered assessment tools to boost student performance.

Ahmad Sadiq, General Manager of Abwaab Iraq, hailed the announcement as a defining moment for education in the country:
