Meeza Inks QAR 750 Million Data Centre Deal with Global Cloud Hyperscaler

Doha, October 29, 2025Meeza, Qatar’s leading data centre and managed IT services provider, has signed a landmark QAR 750 million ($205.5 million) agreement with a global hyperscaler and cloud service provider to deliver 6 megawatts (MW) of data centre capacity in the first phase of a major new development.

The deal represents a major step in strengthening Qatar’s position as a regional hub for digital infrastructure, cloud computing, and AI-driven technologies. The new data centre campus will deliver world-class reliability, scalability, and efficiency, supporting cloud and artificial intelligence workloads for global enterprise clients.

Mohammed Ali Al-Ghaithani, CEO of Meeza, said:

“Our collaboration with one of the world’s fastest-growing cloud service providers is a strong testament to Meeza’s continued pivotal role — not only in accelerating Qatar’s digital transformation plans but also in reinforcing its position as a trusted destination for global investments, technology infrastructure, cloud computing, and digital transformation.”

The first phase, already under development, will provide 6 MW of capacity, dedicated to cloud, AI, and big data processing. Future phases are expected to expand total capacity to 44 MW over the coming years, meeting the growing demand for hyperscale cloud environments in the region.

By combining Meeza’s local expertise with the global scale of the hyperscaler, the project aims to set new benchmarks for excellence in data centre design, operation, and sustainability, while ensuring compliance with international standards for security, efficiency, and uptime.

The partnership underscores Qatar’s ongoing efforts to attract major technology investments and advance its National Vision 2030 goals by building a resilient, innovation-driven digital economy.
