Snap Inc. Expands MENA Footprint with New Office in Doha

Doha, October 28, 2025Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, has officially opened its new office in Msheireb Downtown Doha, marking a major milestone in Qatar’s emergence as a regional hub for innovation, media, and creative talent.

The opening ceremony was attended by HE Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani, Director of the Government Communications Office (GCO), and Evan Spiegel, Founder and CEO of Snap Inc., alongside senior officials and digital industry leaders from across the country.

HE Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani emphasized that the expansion aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030, which prioritizes investment in human capital, innovation, and digital infrastructure. He noted that empowering content creators and providing cutting-edge digital tools are essential to building a sustainable and knowledge-based economy.

He added that Snap’s growing presence in Qatar reflects a three-year strategic partnership between Snap and the GCO that has already yielded significant progress in creative industry development and digital training. “The new office reinforces our commitment to global collaboration and to positioning Qatar as a regional center for innovation, creativity, and digital transformation,” he said.

The opening follows the signing of an MoU during Web Summit Qatar 2025 to launch the region’s first Augmented Reality (AR) Academy, dedicated to nurturing creative talent and advancing digital education. The new Doha office will serve as a base for expanding partnerships with national institutions and the private sector, while offering training programs that support the growth of Qatar’s media and content creation industries.

Snap Inc. also organized a creator-focused activation during the launch, featuring leading global influencers who showcased Qatar’s vibrant culture and diversity through interactive digital experiences.

The expansion underscores Snap’s commitment to the MENA region and reinforces Qatar’s position as a digital leader, driving innovation, creativity, and technological advancement in alignment with the country’s long-term development goals.
