Zain Group Reports Record $5.4 Billion Revenue in Nine Months, Up 15% Year-on-Year

Kuwait City, October 29, 2025Zain Group, a leading telecommunications and digital services provider operating across eight markets in the Middle East and Africa, has announced a 16-year high consolidated revenue of KD 1.7 billion ($5.4 billion) for the first nine months of 2025, marking a 15% year-on-year (YoY) increase.

The company’s EBITDA rose 9% YoY to KD 552 million ($1.8 billion) with an EBITDA margin of 33%, while net income surged 31% YoY to KD 178 million ($581 million). Earnings per share (EPS) stood at 41 fils ($0.13). Zain now serves 51.3 million active customers, reflecting a 9% increase compared to the same period last year.

The Board of Directors has declared a second interim cash dividend of 25 fils per share for profits achieved up to September 30, 2025, payable on November 19. Combined with the earlier 10 fils per share dividend distributed for H1 2025, this fulfills Zain’s dividend distribution policy for the year.

Zain’s Q3 2025 performance also reflected strong momentum, with revenue reaching KD 582 million ($1.9 billion), a 16% YoY increase. EBITDA for the quarter reached KD 196 million ($641 million), and net income stood at KD 57 million ($187 million), up 5% YoY.

Chairman Osamah Al Furaih praised the Group’s resilience amid competitive and economic challenges, emphasizing continued investment in digital infrastructure, ESG initiatives, and customer experience.

“Our collaborative effort has positioned Zain as the digital service operator of choice for consumers, enterprises, and governments,” he stated.

Vice-Chairman and Group CEO Bader Al-Kharafi attributed the performance to the 4WARD strategy and AI-driven initiatives, which are accelerating digital transformation and operational efficiency.

“Our diversified business verticals — including ZainTECH, Zain Omantel International (ZOI), and fintech and digital services — have all contributed to achieving record growth across the board,” Al-Kharafi said.

Zain also earned a spot in Forbes’ “World’s Best Employers” list, ranking first in the regional telecom sector, first in Kuwait, and among the top three employers in the Middle East, reflecting its commitment to inclusion, sustainability, and responsible business practices.
