BARQ Systems, a leading regional provider of IT and cybersecurity solutions, has announced that it has received official cybersecurity accreditation from Egypt’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), becoming one of the first companies in the country to obtain full licensing under the new MCIT cybersecurity accreditation framework.
The certification covers eight key cybersecurity domains — Penetration Testing, Red Team Services, Vulnerability Assessment, Security Operations Center (SOC) Services, Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Integrated Solutions and Consulting, and Training Services.
This achievement marks a major milestone for BARQ Systems, reinforcing its position as a trusted cybersecurity partner for Egypt’s governmental, public, and private sectors, as well as licensed telecommunications companies.
“This accreditation reflects our continuous commitment to implementing national cybersecurity standards and supporting Egypt’s digital transformation journey,” said Mahmoud Soliman, President and CEO of BARQ Systems. “Being among the first companies accredited across all eight categories underscores our dedication to delivering reliable and comprehensive cybersecurity solutions.”
Eng. Mohamed Shamroukh, CEO of NTRA, highlighted that the new accreditation framework aims to enhance trust in Egypt’s digital ecosystem and ensure that cybersecurity services align with international best practices. “Partnering with accredited entities such as BARQ Systems reflects the strong collaboration between the regulatory and private sectors in building a secure and resilient digital future for Egypt,” he said.
The accreditation aligns with Egypt Vision 2030, supporting national goals to strengthen digital infrastructure and elevate cybersecurity readiness. Through this recognition, BARQ Systems is set to play a pivotal role in advancing Egypt’s secure digital transformation and fostering innovation in cybersecurity services.
