Doha — Ooredoo Group has entered a strategic partnership with Aduna, a global Network API aggregator, to make its suite of standardized telecom APIs accessible to businesses across MENA and worldwide via a unified, secure platform.
The collaboration represents a significant milestone in Ooredoo’s efforts to unlock value from the global API economy, enabling enterprises to leverage telecom network intelligence for seamless, cross-border digital innovation.
Simplifying Access to Secure Digital Capabilities
Through Aduna’s global aggregation platform, banks, fintechs, e-commerce firms, and digital service providers can now integrate directly with Ooredoo’s APIs — including identity verification, SIM swap, KYC, payments, and communications. These APIs allow organizations to build secure, interoperable digital experiences without the need for multiple local integrations or fragmented network agreements.
The initiative operationalizes Ooredoo’s work under the GSMA’s CAMARA project, which establishes international standards for open telecom APIs. By connecting Ooredoo’s API portfolio to Aduna’s global distribution layer, the partnership bridges the gap between standardization and scale, driving faster and safer innovation across industries.
Phased Rollout Through 2027
Ooredoo’s operating companies will be gradually onboarded to the Aduna ecosystem by 2027, providing developers and enterprises worldwide with one point of access to Ooredoo’s digital capabilities.
Rene Werner, Group Chief Strategy Officer and Acting Group Chief Commercial Officer at Ooredoo, said:
“With this collaboration, we are turning network intelligence into practical business value. From CAMARA to Aduna, we’re building the full value chain for scalable, interoperable APIs that empower innovation.”
Anthony Bartolo, CEO of Aduna, added:
“Aduna was created to help telecom operators like Ooredoo turn standardization into monetization. By linking Ooredoo’s API portfolio to our global platform, we’re enabling businesses everywhere to innovate faster and safer.”
Accelerating the Global Network API Economy
The partnership underscores a shared commitment to advancing telecom API ecosystems that drive digital transformation, secure interoperability, and economic growth.
By bridging operator capabilities with enterprise innovation, Ooredoo and Aduna are laying the groundwork for a new era of programmable networks, where standardized APIs fuel the next generation of AI-driven, cross-industry digital services.
