Kuwait City, November 5, 2025 — The State of Kuwait has officially launched its national tourism and e-visa platform, marking a pivotal step in the country’s digital transformation and tourism diversification strategy under Kuwait Vision 2035.
Developed by the Ministry of Interior, the platform serves as an integrated digital gateway for visa applications, travel planning, and tourism promotion — offering a seamless experience for international travellers and positioning Kuwait as a modern, accessible destination.
Streamlined e-Visa Process with Four Categories
The new system simplifies entry procedures through four main e-visa types:
- Tourist Visa: Allows stays up to 90 days for leisure and cultural visits.
- Family Visit Visa: Valid for 30 days, enabling residents to host close relatives.
- Business Visa: Permits 30-day stays for foreign representatives attending meetings or commercial activities.
- Official Visa: Reserved for government and diplomatic delegations.
This streamlined approach aims to enhance transparency, reduce processing time, and attract diverse visitor segments to Kuwait.
Integrated Tourism Platform Supporting Vision 2035
Beyond visa processing, the platform doubles as a comprehensive tourism hub, featuring cultural guides, entertainment listings, heritage insights, and smart travel tools to help visitors explore Kuwait efficiently.
The initiative supports Kuwait Vision 2035, the national roadmap for economic diversification, modernization, and international engagement. By digitizing visitor services, Kuwait seeks to enhance travel convenience, stimulate the tourism economy, and strengthen its global cultural footprint.
The platform reflects Kuwait’s ambition to become a regional destination for culture, business, and innovation, combining digital convenience with a renewed focus on tourism development.
