Islamabad — November 6, 2025: Reon Energy has hosted the “Powering Telecom Networks: Energy Finance Forum” at the Marriott Hotel, Islamabad, convening senior leaders from Pakistan’s telecom, energy, and financial sectors to discuss sustainable energy innovation and investment.
The forum served as a strategic platform to explore Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) and its potential to reshape Pakistan’s telecom infrastructure by reducing carbon emissions, enhancing energy reliability, and improving cost efficiency.
A key highlight of the event was the announcement of progress in Reon Energy’s strategic alliance with Telenor Pakistan, which continues to strengthen the telecom industry’s shift toward a resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem.
Reon also introduced its groundbreaking Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model — the first of its kind in Pakistan’s telecom energy landscape. The model aims to improve network uptime, lower energy costs, and minimize environmental impact, positioning it as a cornerstone of the nation’s green transition.
“This forum reflects our shared commitment to accelerating Pakistan’s energy transformation,” said Mudasar Hussain, COO Telco at Reon Energy. “Through innovative models like BaaS and our collaboration with Telenor Pakistan, we are setting new benchmarks for operational resilience and sustainability in the telecom sector.”
Participants from across the telecom and financial ecosystem shared insights into the economic and environmental potential of EaaS and BaaS, emphasizing cross-sector collaboration to meet Pakistan’s clean energy and digital connectivity goals.
The event concluded with a consensus that technology-driven energy solutions will play a pivotal role in powering the country’s expanding telecom networks while driving sustainability and long-term economic growth.
