Egypt Hosts AI Conference to Drive Innovation for Environmental Sustainability

The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) and Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) co-hosted the conference “Artificial Intelligence for Environmental Sustainability”, spotlighting how AI can be harnessed to combat global environmental challenges and promote a greener future.

The event brought together experts, academics, and students to explore how AI-driven technologies can contribute to sustainable development through smarter data analytics, advanced monitoring systems, and carbon reduction strategies. Speakers highlighted the role of AI in improving energy efficiency, waste management, and resource optimization — key pillars of Egypt’s broader digital and environmental transformation agenda.

Students from MUST’s Faculty of Informatics also showcased innovative AI projects designed to address environmental issues, emphasizing the growing role of youth-led research in driving eco-friendly technological solutions. The conference underscored Egypt’s commitment to leveraging AI for sustainability, aligning with national goals for climate resilience and green innovation.
