Türkiye’s DIGIAGE platform is strengthening its regional presence with the launch of the DIGIAGE MENA Game Accelerator—Jordan, in collaboration with Amman-based Maysalward, one of the Middle East’s leading mobile game studios. The $250,000 six-month program aims to nurture young game developers across the region through technical, creative, and investment-focused training.
The initiative was announced during the 13th Electronic Game Developers Summit in Jordan, inaugurated by Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat. The summit, themed Aqaba Connects Gamer Pocket, brought together industry leaders, developers, and studios from the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. On the sidelines, the Jordan Gaming Lab signed cooperation agreements with Türkiye’s DIGIAGE and Germany’s Ziska, further enhancing cross-border collaboration and skills development for youth.
Founded in 2019, DIGIAGE has become a major accelerator for game entrepreneurs across Türkiye, Eastern Europe, and Azerbaijan. It has hosted 10 development camps with over 18,000 applicants from 34 countries, forming 237 teams and producing 261 games. Recognized as Türkiye’s most active gaming investment fund in 2024, DIGIAGE continues to integrate education, funding, and mentorship for regional talent.
Internationally, DIGIAGE has executed three Erasmus+ projects with European partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Norway, Lithuania, and Serbia, organizing hackathons, workshops, and policy initiatives for game developers. Its global impact was further underscored when it was named among Europe’s top seven innovation centers at the EBN Excellence Awards 2024 in Dublin.
DIGIAGE’s partnership with Maysalward marks a strategic step toward expanding the MENA gaming ecosystem and empowering emerging creators through international collaboration and innovation.
