Cassava Technologies has launched the Cassava AI Multi-Model Exchange (CAIMEx), a new platform that gives African mobile network operators unified access to the world’s leading AI and large language models—including those from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and other global providers. Instead of managing complex integrations or investing in costly infrastructure, operators can now tap into multiple AI models through a single, locally supported platform.
Designed as a versatile, future-ready AI hub, CAIMEx allows operators to select models tailored to their needs—from real-time intelligence to advanced reasoning and ethical AI. The platform supports use cases ranging from customer engagement and network operations to new digital services for subscribers and SMEs. Crucially, all data is hosted within Cassava’s regional AI factories, ensuring data sovereignty, privacy, and regulatory compliance across African markets.
Cassava AI CEO Ahmed El Beheiry said the platform bridges “global innovation and African ambition,” enabling every operator—not just large enterprises—to offer world-class AI and LLM capabilities quickly and affordably. The launch follows Cassava’s broader AI initiatives, including its plan to build Africa’s first AI factory announced earlier this year.
