Giza Systems Group (GS Group) has signed a landmark three-year Memorandum of Understanding with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) to significantly expand its Global Delivery Center (GDC) operations in Egypt. Announced during the Global Offshoring Summit under the patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Communications Minister Amr Talaat, the agreement strengthens Egypt’s position as a rising global hub for high-value digital services and ICT exports.
The MoU establishes a framework for deep collaboration aimed at enhancing Egypt’s offshoring competitiveness, driving foreign currency inflows, and leveraging GS Group’s advanced capabilities across cloud infrastructure, data and AI, IoT, software development, and productized platform services. The company will also scale back-office BPO functions and customer analytics services across markets including Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Libya, and the broader MEA region, with plans to expand into Europe.
GS Group CEO Ahmad Elharany emphasized that the expansion is rooted in Egypt’s strong tech talent and globally recognized delivery capabilities. ITIDA CEO Ahmed Elzaher highlighted that the agreement reflects growing global confidence in Egypt’s digital services ecosystem, reinforced by a wave of 55 new offshoring agreements signed at the Summit.
Under the three-year plan, GS Group will add 1,950 net Egyptian employees focused on export-oriented, high-value roles. The MoU includes joint recruitment programs, access to talent databases, and specialized training pathways to ensure global delivery readiness. The signing ceremony was a central moment of the Summit, which gathered more than 250 global CEOs and executives at the historic Marriott Mena House to discuss the future of global service delivery and Egypt’s expanding leadership role.
GS Group, a subsidiary of solutions by stc, is one of the MEA region’s leading digital transformation enablers, with operations across telecom, utilities, oil and gas, and smart mobility.
