NexGen and Panasonic Form Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Smart Home Adoption in Egypt

NexGen, a leading smart home solutions provider in Egypt, has signed a strategic partnership with Panasonic to become the primary distributor of Panasonic’s smart home technologies across the country. The collaboration aims to accelerate Egypt’s shift toward intelligent, connected households by offering secure, energy-efficient, and fully integrated living environments powered by global innovations.

The partnership strengthens Panasonic’s presence in the fast-growing smart home market across Egypt and the Middle East, where demand for smart security, automated lighting, and energy management systems is rising rapidly. Industry reports forecast the regional market to surpass USD 1.8 billion by 2027, driven by a strong appetite for integrated digital solutions.

NexGen Chairman Bahaa Sarsar emphasized the transition from isolated devices to integrated smart ecosystems, highlighting the adoption of KNX international standards—an intelligent control system capable of delivering 30–40% energy savings by optimizing lighting, HVAC, and power usage based on real-time patterns. Integrating Panasonic’s KNX-enabled technologies will allow Egyptian households to benefit from enhanced comfort, efficiency, and personalization.

Panasonic Electric Works Middle East & Africa Managing Director Eiji Ito praised Egypt as one of the region’s most dynamic markets and described NexGen as a trusted partner with deep local expertise. Both companies will co-develop an open KNX-based ecosystem that supports long-term scalability, energy efficiency, and sustainable smart living, potentially reducing operational costs by up to 35%.

The partnership aims to boost nationwide awareness of smart home benefits while paving the way for a wide rollout of Panasonic’s advanced product lineup through NexGen’s authorized channels, delivering a modern, globally aligned user experience to Egyptian consumers.
