Futurity Secures Seed Funding to Roll Out AI Intelligence for Everyday Work

Futurity, Sri Lanka’s first AI-native research and development studio, has closed its seed funding round, marking a major step in its mission to bring seamless, AI-enabled intelligence into everyday business operations. Formed through a joint venture between Invos Global and Cyaniq, the company focuses on building AI tools that work quietly in the background—removing friction, simplifying knowledge access, automating routine tasks, and enhancing customer engagement without disrupting workflows.

The funding was secured after extensive due diligence, led by a consortium of private investors including Jaywise Investments Director Altaf Jeevunjee, Akbar Brothers Executive Director Mansoor Akbarally, and Ninehearts Group Managing Director Chamika Godamanna. The investors praised Futurity’s vision of “humanising AI” and delivering practical, real-world outcomes rather than hype.

Futurity currently offers two flagship products:
Omni — an AI-powered document intelligence and knowledge orchestration platform that enables smart summarisation, contextual search, and content generation.
Query — a web intelligence tool turning static websites into conversational, interactive digital experiences that guide and convert users.

With the new funding, Futurity has appointed its first Board of Directors, chaired by Mansoor Akbarally and comprising leaders from Cyaniq, Invos Global, and the investor consortium. The company plans to scale rapidly across Sri Lanka, expanding into enterprise knowledge systems, AI e-commerce assistants, conversational websites, and next-gen digital reporting, while also offering bespoke AI transformation services.
