Shams Telecom has signed a new collaboration agreement with GlobalTek to support the expansion of technical, telecommunications and clean-energy services across Iraq.
The partnership establishes a framework for developing integrated solutions that combine modern ICT infrastructure with renewable-energy technologies, aimed at boosting operational efficiency and meeting fast-growing demand in both public and private sectors.
The move aligns with Shams Telecom’s strategy to broaden its service portfolio as Iraq’s ICT and energy sectors evolve. The Baghdad-based company provides IT services, network solutions and internet access through subsidiaries nationwide.
GlobalTek — founded in 2021 and also headquartered in Baghdad — specialises in power systems, renewable energy and communications infrastructure, and has been active in modernisation initiatives across Iraq.
Together, the companies aim to enhance nationwide access to advanced technical and energy services, supporting Iraq’s broader push toward sustainable, efficient infrastructure.
