Media City Qatar Showcases Nation’s Creative and Digital Ecosystem at MWC25 Doha

Media City Qatar took centre stage at the first-ever GSMA MWC25 Doha, serving as a Headline Sponsor and highlighting the country’s rapidly expanding creative, digital, and media innovation ecosystem. Through its Media Village, curated sessions, and participation across multiple platforms, the organisation underscored Qatar’s growing influence as a regional hub for content creation, AI-driven media, and emerging technologies.

As part of the event, Media City Qatar hosted the Media Village — an exclusive space for journalists and media organisations to collaborate and produce onsite coverage. CEO Eng. Jassim Mohamed Al Khori delivered a key session at the Qatar University Booth titled “How AI is Transforming Innovation, Media, and Creative Industries,” emphasising how artificial intelligence is reshaping content development, production workflows, and creative efficiencies. He later joined a fireside conversation on the MWC Main Stage exploring immersive technologies, the experience economy, and the future of audience engagement.

Eng. Al Khori said Qatar’s hosting of MWC for the first time reflects the nation’s rising prominence in media and technology. He affirmed Media City Qatar’s commitment to advancing intelligent media ecosystems aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030, fostering investment, and supporting global and regional industry collaboration.

Media City Qatar also made notable contributions on the 4YFN Stage, where Director of Strategy and Excellence Tevfik Ergun joined a panel on strategic media innovation and the intersection of content, technology, and venture creation. Additionally, the organisation participated in the CMO Circle Roundtable led by GSMA’s CMO, discussing insights from IBM’s 2025 CMO Study and the growing impact of AI on global strategies.

Through sustained collaboration with local and global partners, Media City Qatar continues to strengthen the country’s digital and creative industries, empowering talent, enabling innovation, and helping shape the future of media in line with long-term national aspirations.
