Algeria’s Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, participated in the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025) in Doha, where he held a series of high-level meetings with major telecom and technology leaders. According to the ministry, the visit focused on expanding Algeria’s international partnerships and accelerating its digital transformation agenda.
During the event, Zerrouki met with Qatar’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mohammed Bin Ali Al-Mannai, to explore new opportunities for cooperation. Discussions centered on developing technology parks and boosting job creation in the digital sector, reflecting a shared interest in strengthening regional collaboration in advanced technologies.
Zerrouki also visited the pavilion of Ooredoo Group, where both sides reviewed future partnership prospects and the company’s role in supporting Algeria’s innovation and digital transformation projects. The minister’s engagements extended to a high-level ministerial meeting on technological infrastructures, which brought together global government leaders to discuss next-generation digital capabilities.
Throughout his visit, Zerrouki was received at multiple pavilions of international technology companies exhibiting at MWC, signalling Algeria’s growing presence and ambition within the global telecom and tech ecosystem.
