Grameenphone Partners with BSCL to Bring Starlink Satellite Internet to Enterprise Customers in Bangladesh

Grameenphone has signed a landmark agreement with Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited to introduce next-generation satellite internet services from Starlink to its corporate clients across Bangladesh. The partnership will enable industries operating in remote or infrastructure-challenged regions to access reliable, low-latency connectivity where terrestrial networks fall short.

The agreement was signed at GPHouse by Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman and BSCL Managing Director and CEO Dr. Muhammad Imadur Rahman. Dr. Asif Naimur Rashid, Grameenphone’s Chief Business Officer, along with senior officials from both organizations, also attended the ceremony.

Dr. Asif emphasized that the collaboration aligns with Grameenphone’s goal of delivering best-in-class connectivity solutions to enterprise customers. He noted that Starlink’s satellite network will support businesses operating in remote energy fields, coastal zones, and border regions, ensuring continuity, resilience, and productivity.

Dr. Rahman highlighted BSCL’s commitment to expanding satellite broadband access and strengthening Bangladesh’s digital infrastructure. He added that the partnership will help ensure uninterrupted communication for mission-critical operations, particularly in geographically challenging areas.

Starlink’s satellite service will act as a backup connection during fibre cuts, natural disasters, and rural network disruptions. According to Grameenphone, BSCL, and Starlink, the collaboration will significantly enhance enterprise connectivity and support the country’s broader digital transformation goals.
