Gamez Quest has officially launched in Riyadh as a dedicated Arabic localisation studio supporting global publishers across PC, console, mobile and VR. Positioned as a “cultural safety net,” the studio helps developers adapt games for Saudi and wider MENA audiences by localising not just language, but humour, cultural context and player expectations.
Founded by a Saudi team, Gamez Quest is closely connected to TrueGaming, which has spent two decades shaping Saudi Arabia’s gaming community through media, events and esports. The company said that while Vision 2030 has built strong industry infrastructure, the region still lacks specialised localisation partners capable of providing deep culturalisation rather than basic translation.
With global publishers seeking new emerging markets amid slowing growth in the West, demand for authentic MENA-focused localisation is rising. TrueGaming CEO Mohammed Albsimi said the industry has matured beyond generic language packs, noting that major titles have misfired in the region due to cultural misalignment. Gamez Quest now aims to close that gap by offering publishers the expertise needed to enter MENA markets effectively.
