Kuwait’s Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening its digital infrastructure, highlighting ongoing national projects to upgrade technological systems, improve operational efficiency, and expand digital solutions across government entities. Speaking at the Nexus 2025 technology exhibition, he said Kuwait’s digital transformation strategy aims to enhance public services, foster innovation, and support the transition to a knowledge-based economy aligned with Kuwait Vision 2035.
Al-Omar emphasized strong political backing for digital integration, improved data management frameworks, and expanded public–private partnerships. He also highlighted investments in national talent through upskilling programs in programming, data science, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
The event showcased Kuwait’s innovation ecosystem, featuring emerging technologies, youth-led projects, and participation from local and international companies. Officials from the National Fund for SME Development and CITRA underlined Kuwait’s efforts to support entrepreneurs, elevate digital competitiveness, expand 5G, strengthen cybersecurity, and improve network performance—supported by ITU and ETSI standards. With 95% nationwide coverage, Kuwait stands among the region’s strongest telecom markets.
